Honing Stones

We stock both natural and manmade honing stones (whetstones) for razor sharpening in a variety of grits and to suit a variety of budgets. While stropping provides the day to day method of keeping a straight razor sharp, at some point all razors benefit from being honed. Please see our sections on Choosing A Honing Stone and Honing for further information. If unsure about the best choice please call and we will be happy to assist. Honing takes rather more practice than stropping, so if you would prefer to have someone experienced hone your razor, we offer a razor sharpening service at very reasonable rates. We also stock honing stands and flattening stones.
