Shavettes

If you are looking for a razor which uses replaceable blades we now stock a selection of high quality shavettes from Dovo, Feather and Boker. We also sell blades to fit these razors. These disposable blade razors offer a convenient alternative to the traditional fixed blade straight razors in which we specialise. As they accept a disposable blade so they do not need to be honed or stropped. The experience is not quite the same as a traditional straight but it is similar. It can provide a low cost introduction to straight razors, or an alternative when travelling for example. Some shavettes have different types of blade holder so as to provide different degrees of exposure for the blade. This provides a more or less aggressive shave. Some accept half of a regular safety razor (DE razor) blade, but longer blades specifically designed for shavettes are also available.
