This ichogake kamisori is beleived to be Azuma as the other IE380010 razors but it has a different handle and I can’t be entirely sure. It is made from yasuki (yasugi) steel, a well known Japanese steel type of very good quality. This razor is not new. It has an original rubberised handle and apart from a light clean-up is in original condition. It has various marks on it which I have tried to illustrate in the images.

Description

This ichogake kamisori is beleived to be Azuma as the other IE380010 razors but it has a different handle and I can’t be entirely sure. It is made from yasuki (yasugi) steel, a well known Japanese steel type of very good quality. This razor is not new. It has an original rubberised handle and apart from a light clean-up is in original condition. It has various marks on it which I have tried to illustrate in the images.

The razor is a regular ‘ichogake’ size with an edge length of  approximately 43m. Overall length of the razor is some 150 mm.

These razors are manufactured using a combination of softer (Jigane) and harder (Hagane) steels, with the harder steel forming the edge. The specific steel used is unknown.

SHAVE READY – all our razors  are individually prepared and supplied shave ready. However in reality, given the condition in which they come from the workshop I rarely need to touch them. For full details see our policy.
