Description
The “Wet Is Best” set from Kent is made up of a faux ivory brush with synthetic “Silvertex” knot and accompanying ivory coloured stand in a boxed set. Super-soft Silvertex is a material specially developed by Kent to mimic natural badger and provides an alternative for those who prefer not to use animal hair. It is softer than most badger brushes. Note that the colour of the brush and stand is not exactly the same.
To obtain the richest lather Kent advise that you hold the brush under a hot running tap and keep as much water on the brush as possible. Apply a “pea” size amount of shaving cream to the tips of the filaments and use the cup of your hand or a bowl to mix up a rich lather. Do not use too much pressure in doing this as this will cause the filaments to flatten. If you need to use more water, dip the tip of the brush in water and flick the brush gently to remove the excess. When you have finished your wet shave clean the brush head under running water until soap free.
