Description
5k (5,000) grit stone – excellent for beginning the real high-polishing work, this stone gives good feedback and cuts quickly for a hone that leaves such a good, fine polish. A good hone for use with any blade that has merely become dull with use or perhaps has a ‘turned’ edge from a stropping mistake – it will rapidly restore the edge, leaving the way for the higher grit stones to do their work. Stand available separately.
This is the same honing stone as the Naniwa 5K Speciality Stone – which has now been discontinued – but in different packaging and sold under a different name.
