Large sized dresser comb made by hand in France from real horn. Supplied in a black leather slip case. Length approx. 7.5″/18 cm. As a natural material, colours and shading vary significantly. Due to its nature the comb may not be 100% flat and straight. These combs are suited to all hair types and are made from real horn, by hand, in France. With strong, square-cut teeth they pass through the hair with ease and, because they are a natural product, they do not generate the static electricity associated with combs made from synthetic materials such as Nylon and plastic. Horn is made from a natural body product called keratin, the same substance that is found in you fingernails and hair. This like-for-like use has been found to be beneficial to hair – and the combs themselves are beautifully figured due to the natural colour variation present within the horn itself. Each is supplied in a leather slip wallet. Horn does NOT like being washed in hot water, as this softens it and can lead to permanent warping and damage.
