Description
This kit has everything a beginner needs to start their straight razor shaving journey. The kit comprises a Ralf Aust razor, one of our own label hanging strops, a stainless steel bowl, Kent sandalwood shave soap, our own label pure badger shaving brush together with a matching stand and a hemostatic pencil to help sort out any little nicks should they occur !
The razor – IE280024 – is produced exclusively for us by Ralf Aust of Solingen Germany with a half hollow grind and with our mark on the blade. It has a carbon steel blade with a satin finish and black synthetic plastic scales. We think this is a great entry level razor, particularly suited for anyone starting off with a straight razor for the first time.
The Invisible Edge shaving bowl is manufactured from a good quality stainless steel and with its lid is both practical and attractive. Diameter approx 90mm. Accepts most size of soap cakes.
The Kent soap has fragrance based around patchouli, enhanced with extracts of lavender, pine and clove on a spicy base of nutmeg, cedarwood, sandalwood, vanilla and musk. Size approx. 3″ by 1″. Weight 4.23 oz./120g
The Invisible Edge hanging strop is made of a high quality leather, one useable side and is fitted with a swivel hook and grip handle. Size is approx. 19″ (482 mm) x 1 3/4″ (45 mm), the length between the ends is 13″ (330 mm).
The Invisible Edge pure badger brush has an ivory coloured composite handle has a 22mm knot size – overall height approx. 4.25″/110 mm, width at base 1.25″/33 mm. Matching composite ivory coloured stand with Invisible Edge branding – size approx. – 376mm., W 250mm., D 2.25mm.
The OSMA hemostatic pencil is made of aluminium sulphate in stick form, and is an ideal way of stopping bleeding from minor shaving nicks. 12g.
