Description

This vintage 5/8 razor is marked “31 The Palmer” and is thought to be of German origin. The scales have clearly been fitted more recently and are Dovo redwood or violetwood I believe. The square point razor has jimping to the lower tang and a plain spine.

There is some pitting from historical corrosion and also, at some point, someone has used too coarse a rubbing paper on it. I have polished the razor so it is of an acceptable appearance but a close examination shows there to be some marks remaining from that earier treatment. Having said that, it is not a bad little razor and as a professionally honed vintage German razor hopefully offers good value at this price.
